Wednesday December 18th was a profound reminder of how much elections matter.
A deep gratitude for those who ran in 2018. Without them, we would not have impeached Trump. The GOP would have continued to lie and obfuscate about corruption, as they have done since Trump was elected. The Ukrainian President would have gone on CNN defaming Joe Biden and we would have never known why that happened.
Speaker Pelosi did not whip Democrats into voting for impeachment. They decided for themselves. Many who voted yes risk losing their jobs. And those who voted no should lose their jobs.
Facts are friendly and we know the facts. Trump is corrupt. Russia will do anything to keep him in office. He will continue to obstruct congress and justice. He is a danger to society and our Democracy. He is mentally unstable. And that’s just the tip of it.
I went to Seattle’s Impeachment Protest the other night and felt distressed. People showed up but not enough. We were silent, acting like we’re not in crisis, like it’s business as usual. We’re facing a real threat of four more years of absolute destruction to our Democracy, our planet and basic humanity. We need to be vocal and in the streets now. It won’t help to show up on January 21, 2020. By then, it will be too late.
Look, I’m huge football fan (I know, it’s in direct conflict with my values) and while a great defense matters, playing offense is a much better strategy. When you control the clock, you control the game.
This is a rallying cry. All hands on deck. Not a moment to waste. Don’t make me write another cliche. Let’s get to work.

Indivisible.org and Moveon.org are ground zero for protests and rallies. Join their lists if you haven’t already.
Wear your values on your sleeves. Buttons, t-shirts, etc.
CALL
Your MEMBER OF CONGRESS and either thank them or let them know you are voting them out.
Your SENATORS and demand a fair trial. No articles of impeachment until fairness is established.
DELETE SOCIAL MEDIA
If you can, please consider deactivating or getting off Facebook. Facebook is running fake ads and Zuckerberg doesn’t care to stop it. Trump is running ads like this. Facebook, while good in many ways, played a major role in where we are today.
I can’t stand what is happening in our society. I can’t stand the divide. I can’t understand the gulping of the Fox News koolaid.
I’m outraged. Again. Mostly I’m worked about complacency. I have heard more Progressives says he’s getting reelected in the last few days than I can stomach. Are we giving up before we even tried?
I used to be jealous of those who lived through the Sixties. I wanted that level of protest. Then 2016 happened and I understood my jealousy as ignorance. People were in the streets were literally fighting for their lives. We fight for our lives on social media. Then, the Silicon Valley six algorithm the shit out of us, target us with fake news ads (facebook) and we feel like we did the work.
What are we willing to do to stop this destruction? It’s real question. Look at Hong Kong, Seoul, The Arab Spring. Do you admire their conviction and tenacity? I know I do. I want us to follow their lead.
If we love freedom, we must do everything in our capacity to preserve and advance it.
Please and thank you.
DONATE. CALL. PROTEST. DEMAND DIFFERENT. SUPPORT FAIR VOTING. KNOCK ON DOORS. TALK TO EVERYBODY. RALLY YOUR PEOPLE. VOTE.
It doesn’t get more real than this. At least I hope it doesn’t.
With love, gratitude and undying belief that together we can -

P.S. George Conway, husband of KellyAnne and defender of Democracy, has coined Trump as IMPOTUS - impeached POTUS. heeheeheehee.
