Here's the thing, to fight the deceit and disinformation is to pressure our members of congress to do the right thing (seems like a near impossible task). Better yet, we get out of the vote now and encourage those who don't vote to VOTE in upcoming elections (like Jon Ossoff! Let's flip the sixth).
PROBLEM IS that congressional aides are reporting that calls are back to pre-trump levels meaning, very few.
While we were obsessively watch Comey's testimony, the House was busy deregulating the banks and the 13 members of the Senate were working, in secret, on what is going to be a terrible, disastrous, greedy healthcare bill.
This is not what democracy looks like. We are what democracy looks like.
TODAY'S EASY ACTIVISM -
It's FRIDAY, and Friday's are typical about gratitude and exhaling and knowing we are a week closer to 2018 and 2020, yet this Friday is about making calls because every call matters.
BECAUSE EVERY CALL MATTERS.
1. Call your Senators about keeping Dodd Frank in place and improving upon the Affordable Care Act, no repeal. One call, two birds = a better future. It's up to us. We are the keepers of the truth.
2. Show up in protest this weekend.
Saturday June 10 there are anti muslim protests happening across the US. I am having trouble finding the counter marches. Please google if you are able to counter protest.
Sunday June 11 - March For Equality. Seattle's March starts at a 11am at Bobby Morris Playfield (Cal Anderson Park) and I am speaking at 11:08am. Hope to see my Seattle peeps there. Sister marches happening throughout the nation.
